The short version
No account required. Solo and Daily play stay on your device. Live same-board
races use Google Firebase for anonymous sign-in and server-authoritative board dealing. We do not
sell your personal information.
What the app does
Sudosmith is a Sudoku game with solo, daily, and optional live same-board races against a friend.
You can play without creating a username, email, or password.
Data we process
On-device game data. Stats, streaks, settings, and purchase entitlement flags
are stored locally on your device.
Anonymous authentication (online play). Live races sign in anonymously with
Firebase Authentication, creating a random user id. It is not linked to your
name or email by us.
Online race data. Match documents and short-lived invite codes live in
Cloud Firestore (region europe-west1) for multiplayer only. The race board’s
solution is server-only — never readable by either client — and your opponent never sees your
grid. Race data is designed to expire (TTL).
In-app purchases. Optional purchases (for example extra_grids)
are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing.
We receive entitlement information, not your full payment details.
Camera (optional). If you scan a friend’s invite QR code, the camera reads it
on-device only. We do not upload camera frames.
Diagnostics & usage. To keep the app stable we use
Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Google Analytics for
Firebase (aggregate usage), keyed to a random, app-local id — never your name or
email. We also use Firebase Remote Config to toggle features safely.
Advertising (not active yet). The app includes the Google AdMob
SDK, but ads are turned off and no ads are shown or requested in this version.
If we enable ads in a future update, a consent prompt (Google UMP) will appear first where
required, this policy will be updated, and the store data-safety labels will reflect the
advertising identifier and ad data involved.

Children
Sudosmith is a general-audience logic game, not directed at children under 13 (or the age
required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or law changes; the effective date above will be
revised.
